Indeed we must NOT lose heart while we wait. I just shared with Bola Omoteso's friend about delay in the path of a chaplaincy role I seek. The delay has given me an opportunity to spiritually and mentally prepare for the federal role. I have come to understand that delay is NOT denial and God's silence never equates to His absence. I share with you this sermonette by Coach Pearl Kanu.
He has made ever. God God made everything beautiful in its time. Also, He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end. — Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NKJV)
Today’s Word:
There are seasons when God’s plan seems hidden and His timing feels slow. We pray, prepare, and do what we know to do, yet the results don’t come as quickly as we hoped. It’s easy to wonder if God has forgotten, but the truth is, He’s working behind the scenes in ways we can’t yet see.
When something hasn’t happened yet, it’s not a delay — it’s divine timing. God is aligning the right opportunities, the right people, and the right moment to bring beauty out of what feels uncertain. Waiting is never wasted when our hearts remain faithful.
Just as a seed grows beneath the soil before breaking through the surface, God is cultivating something within us. We must not lose heart while we wait. Let us stay faithful, stay expectant, and keep our peace. At the right time, what He has prepared will come into view — and it will be beautiful.
Prayer:
Father, thank You that everything You do is perfectly timed. Even when we don’t see the whole picture, we trust that You are working for our good. Help us to stay patient and peaceful in the waiting. Holy Spirit, teach us to do away with thoughts that are not from You and to rest in Your plan. We are grateful that what You have begun, You will bring to completion, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
